Stephanie was born in Ohio and earned a BS in Biology from Eastern Kentucky University and an MS in Fisheries and Wildlife Science from Virginia Tech. She was a fish biologist with the NC Wildlife Resources Commission and later taught eighth grade science at East McDowell Middle School and fourth and fifth grade social studies at Old Fort Elementary School. She is married to Chris, and they have one daughter, Helen, who lives in Durham. Stephanie enjoys crocheting, reading, gardening, and taking care of her houseplant collection.

Stephanie prepares Sunday bulletins, monthly newsletters, the weekly e-news, children’s church lessons, and whatever else is needed in the church office.
