Emily Robbian
Originally from High Point North Carolina, Emily has always loved the local church. She grew up always asking her parents “when is the next time we’re going to church”. Little did she know that from that moment, God was calling her into ministry.
Emily has received her Bachelors in Religion and Practical Theology with a concentration in Christian Education, as well as her Master’s of Divinity from Duke Divinity School. At Duke and beyond, Emily is a part of the Thriving Rural Fellowship, which allows her to remain connected and learn more about rural church ministry. Emily also holds concentrations in Wesleyan Studies and Christian Education from Duke as well. Before answering her call to ministry, Emily worked in preschools, teaching pre-k and leading afterschool and summer camp programs for school aged children. She also served as Director of Family Ministries while in seminary. Emily believes that education is deeply rooted in our practice as Christians.
In her free time, Emily loves to spend time in creation with her Siberian Husky, Chase, also known as Assistant Pawstor Chase. Emily enjoys reading, playing board games, baking, acrylic painting and crocheting.
Emily hopes that you will come and learn alongside us. We are life long learners, on the road to Christ’s perfect love.
